FP - Books & Maps – Holden Store

The remotest little bookstore and general store in the North Cascades and now
online, the Holden Bookstore & Holden Store has served our beloved
community since 1972. We curate books inspired by the vision and values of
Holden Village and carry a wide range of titles which promote a more just,
sustainable, and compassionate world as well we offering a delicious selection
of fiction and a delightful collection of children's books. We also carry
custom Holden Village apparel in numerous designs and colors as well as
artistic Made in Holden wares, Native Northwest items, games, jewelry and more.

We ship through the US Postal Service and rates are set accordingly. Due to catastrophic
landslides along FS Road 8301 in December 2025, we will be shipping orders from
Holden Village via helicopter every three weeks. The packages will be delivered
to the US Post Office in Chelan and then shipped to you. Some orders will be
filled at our down lake facility and may be received more quickly. Either way,
thank you for your patience with our unique shipping situation.
